Dry Coolers
A dry cooling tower or dry cooler is an industrial fluid cooler designed to remove heat from a medium by blowing air through a heat exchanger in which the fluid circulates. The airflow is provided by axial fans. Another name for such equipment is air cooled heat exchanger (ACHE) or radiator-type cooling tower.
Dry coolers are widely used in industry to cool process equipment, as well as in ventilation and air conditioning systems to discharge heat from chillers. Dry coolers come in three configurations: horizontal, V-shaped, and vertical. They differ in technical characteristics (cooling capacity, performance) and are selected in accordance with customer specifications.
